Publication Ethics

Ma’rifa is committed to maintaining academic integrity and high ethical standards throughout all stages of the publication process. These guidelines are based on internationally recognized principles of publication ethics to ensure the quality, credibility, and integrity of scholarly publications.

1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must submit original works free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and unethical research practices. All references and sources must be properly cited. Manuscripts submitted to Ma’rifa must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal. Authors are also required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to their work.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions fairly and objectively based on the academic merit and scientific quality of the manuscript. Editors must maintain confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, and ensure a transparent and unbiased review process.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, constructively, and within the agreed review period. They must maintain the confidentiality of the reviewed manuscripts and disclose any conflicts of interest. Any indication of ethical misconduct should be reported to the editorial team immediately.

4. Peer Review Process

Ma’rifa implements a rigorous peer review process to maintain publication quality and academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts undergo an anonymous peer review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and scholarly standards.

5. Publication Ethics Compliance

Any form of publication misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, data fabrication, and data misuse, is strictly prohibited. The journal reserves the right to reject, revise, or retract articles that violate ethical standards.

6. Copyright and Access

Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute the article. Ma’rifa may apply open access policies to support wider dissemination and accessibility of scholarly knowledge.

These ethical guidelines are intended to uphold public trust and ensure that all publications in Ma’rifa meet international academic and ethical standards.
